Lately, putting in my contacts has been the most horrendous experience. Every morning I need to work up the courage to put these little plastic pieces of death into my eyes. I don't know when my eyes got so sensitive to them, and I'm guessing this is a sign to not wear them for a few weeks. But I just hate wearing glasses so much!Today, I spent about four hours hanging out at Wendy's and Starbucks with Alex's new band, "The Here And Now", going over their record contract and helping them draft a new one. It was a LOT of fun spending time with them, and I get along with his band-mates really well. It's surprising to me how much I know about copyright law, and the way record companies work, just from a few different music industry internships. I think the biggest surprise was reading over the 32 page contract and ACTUALLY understanding it. I've got the tons of contracts I had to read at The Agency Group to thank for that.
The guys asked me to help manage their band, but I had to decline. I want to be a good friend and help them get off the ground, but I've had such bad experiences trying to self-book tours for Renae and Love Begotten, that I'd like to stay away from independent management of any kind for a little while. It's discouraging when you can't live up to the expectations of those relying on you, especially when it comes to things like booking shows. I'm willing to aid Alex's band in any way I can, but I can't take the responsibility right now of making sure their band is properly represented. I'm going to be praying about it, though.
For now, I think it's better to just be the willing servant instead.
So, Lindsey revealed the big surprise today! Her and a small crew from East Pleasant Studios will be coming to film a live music video for The Comeback Tour at our last show on October 18th! AMAZING! It's crazy how many good things are happening for us right now, especially right as we decide to finish up as a band. Lindsey and the crew will be using two big fancy HD cameras, as well as gaffing and filming our whole set. Then they will compile the clips into a music video for one of our songs (I'm guessing it will be "The Blood Letter")! I implore any of you who have seen our band before--or even thought about seeing us--to come out to this show. It's on a Saturday night, so I know you full-time weekday employees will definitely be off. And this may very well be the LAST time The Comeback Tour ever performs. So don't miss it!
God is so good to me lately. I mean, I know God is ALWAYS good to me, but I feel like my time spent studying the Bible recently has really helped me recognize just how good God is on a daily basis! My biggest prayer request is that God gives me direction in the coming months. Please be praying for Patrick as well. He and Desiree have an amazing opportunity in front of them right now, and they need some provision. If we come together and ask God for what we want, he will always provide what we need!
Jehova Jireh! Be our daily provision, and give us pure hearts that see your great works in our lives.

Wow, that music video by Lindsey's company sounds awesome! I'm sure you guys will be great. I'll definitely be there!
I sympathize with you about the contact lenses. After wearing them every day for twelve years, my eyes just quit one day. I've tried periodically for the last two years to put them in, and my eyes just won't have it. :( I hope yours recover after a quick rest. I hate my glasses too, I just don't have a choice anymore. Lasik here we come! :)
Be seeing you around!
